Docks and goosefoots are two of the more challenging groups of plants to get to grips with - not least because their latin family names are in a state of flux! This weekend course aims to simplify the process of becoming familiar with a wide range of species and to give you confidence in identifying them with accuracy.
This is an accredited course linked to the University of Birmingham Certificate in Biological Recording and Species Identification (half 10 credits). Towards the end of the course you may therefore have your learning assessed for accreditation, if you wish.
The content is also appropriate for anyone wishing to contribute to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Ros Bennett is a freelance botanist and former member of FSC staff with extensive experience of more difficult groups of plants.
