Intermediate Beekeeping

This one day course covers a number of issues which will be of interest to already practising beekeepers, including the identification and possible treatment of diseases and parasites and how to control new swarms.

The course fee includes home-made lunch in the Centre dining room, plus morning and afternoon refreshments.

Julia Pigott is treasurer of Kendal and South Westmorland Beekeepers’ Association and runs their website. She lectures nationally and works to interest children and adults in the importance of bees in the environment.

Her husband Martin Hoggard is also an active beekeeper. Both are enthusiastic in sharing their extensive knowledge.
