This one-day course will cover species identification, an introduction to legislation, reptile ecology, survey methods and survey planning. It will give participants a good understanding of the principles behind reptile surveying and include a site visit to demonstrate best practice. Weather permitting, reptiles may be encountered during the site visit.
Jim Foster spent nearly 12 years working for Natural England and English Nature as their amphibian and reptile specialist. Jon Cranfield runs his own consultancy business specialising in amphibian and reptile conservation.
