A course for beginners and more advanced participants interested in conservation and management of habitats for lichens. It includes aspects of monitoring populations of notable species, the identification of difficult groups and the application of red data lists and indicator lists to assess site quality and condition.
Pat Wolseley is a lichenologist at the Natural History Museum, London, previous President of the British Lichen Society and co-author of Monitoring with Lichens and the FSC fold-out key Lichens on Twigs.
Ray Woods is Lower Plants Officer Plantlife Cymru, the charity dedicated to protecting the UK’s wild plants. He is a leading authority on lichens in Wales.
