Junior Certificate
Experience shows that fieldwork can play a vital part in enthusing junior certificate students and can provide the inspiration which convinces them that geography is what they want to do! Its 'hands on', practical approach, investigating real life situations, provides opportunities for first hand discovery and supports students' understanding of geography.
As well as covering specific elements of the geography curriculum all fieldwork courses at FSC Derrygonnelly also place a strong emphasis on developing personal confidence, team-building and problem solving skills and opportunities to consider aspects of Citizenship.
