The centre has three separate buildings allowing different groups to be accommodated separately. For security all bedrooms and external doors have key-coded locks. The centre has five workrooms fully equipped with computers, projectors, interactive whiteboards and internet access, as well as whiteboard for writing on. There is also a soils/water laboratory, a library and a small computer suite. There is also a drying room, equipment hire for those who need waterproofs and boots, a tuck shop a weather station and a publications shop. The centre is located within the Malham Tarn National Nature Reserve. It occupies a woodland setting with stunning views over Malham Tarn and offers a tranquil sense of remoteness. The grounds include a complex of wetland areas and the Limestone features of Malham Cove and Goredale Scar are within walking distance. |
